RAIL EXPRESS’ top man stars on Top Gear

Murray Brown, the new editor of RAIL EXPRESS magazine, will be a judge on the BBC’s Top Gear programme this week, adjudicating over Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘sports train’ TGV12 during one of the show infamous challenges.

BROADCASTING TO 11 million viewers in the UK and with a potential global audience of nearly one billion people, the Top Gear production team can pick and choose its guests. For one of the show’s challenges, which saw James, Jeremy and Richard attempt to find a cheaper alternative to expensive modern trains, the top man on their list to judge the quality of the results was the editor of the finest railway magazine on the market, RAIL EXPRESS.

New editor, Murray Brown was dispatched to the Great Central Railway, where he donned goggles and was the first passenger in Jeremy Clarkson’s revolutionary ‘Sports Train’. Utilising a converted Jaguar sports car and a cut-down ‘cabriolet’ caravan, the pair was renamed the TGV12 for its new role as an ‘executive jet’ of the rails. The hilarious segment sees the Top Gear presenters attempt to revolutionise the railway industry. After all, how hard can it be?
