FEBRUARY saw Dapol commence manufacturing of the first ‘N’ gauge limited edition Class 66 under the Project Railway Honour banner. This followed the approval of the second decorated sample of No. 66418 Patriot at the start of the month.
Pictured here, this now features the correct amount of grey and black around the cab fronts, improved nameplates and other minor tweaks to reflect the appearance of the Freightliner loco when it was named last November.
It is currently hoped that the loco will be delivered to the UK in time for the York show on April 15-17, allowing those models that have not already been pre-ordered to go on sale.
