A OO layout set in Cornwall and featuring a China clay dries, a wayside halt and the small town of Trenwith.
I have always had an interest in the railways of Cornwall, and especially those routes known as ‘The Withered Arm’. I have also had a long-found interest in Cornish mining and it’s China clay operations.
When Kernow Model Rail Centre produced a limited run of China Clay dries building models I had the means to start my layout. Initially it was purely to be a model of the clay works and little else, however, as time went on the layout was extended first to Boscarne Junction, then onwards to Boscarne Halt and finally to the small town of Trenwith.
